Steve is a self-made businessman and co-Founder & Director of A1 Project Management Services which consists of; A1 Loft Conversions, Aspire Extensions Interiors by Aspire, Aspire to be Green,50 Degrees North, Sustainable Energy Design Solutions (SEDS), KiteTech and ZedUp – companies that can work both independently and together on a wide range different types of projects.
Steve’s first success story was with A1 Loft Conversions, one of the UK’s leading loft conversion companies building 200 plus projects per year – a company that prides itself on its customer service and as a result gains 60% of its work through referrals.
For several years now, Steve has focused his attentions on ways in which to address today’s environmental issues and to design and promote sustainable solutions. From energy monitoring software and energy assessment through to harnessing wind power using advanced kite technology, Steve is determined to make a difference and reduce carbon emissions. He truly believes that “it is through educating our children that we can make the greatest impact.”
Through alliances with like-minded leaders and innovators in sustainable energy technologies, Steve is paving the way to energy independence and a carbon neutral society.
Being passionate about the care and education of children and knowing that they are our future, Steve works to help those children that are less advantaged both at home and overseas. He runs a charity – NEST - which works towards alleviating the plight of children in the Third World through giving communities – specifically children and orphans – quality, permanent houses to live in – as well as the ability to and resources to build further houses independently (www.newstarttrust.com). He is also involved in ‘Regenerate’ in South West London and a Martial Arts School in North London – focusing on helping young people from difficult backgrounds.
